Eligible Members
Any building, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering contracting company, suppliers and manufacturers of building materials, equipment and construction-related services are eligible for Ordinary membership of the Association.
The Associate category of membership is accorded to entities whose work or mandate is related to the construction industry — such as Insurance Companies, Law Firms, Logistics Companies, Tertiary Institutions and Consultants.
Application Procedure
Be a registered construction company or manufacturer/supplier of building materials and construction-related services. Associate membership is open to international and local companies and tertiary institutions.
Download this Membership Application Form from here or collect it from the Secretariat.
Fill and return the application form with the following attachments to the Secretariat: proof of payment of the application fee (UGX 500,000 non-refundable), Certificate of Incorporation, Form 18, Form 7/20 with director IDs, Form 1, certificates of works completed for at least 3 years, Powers of Attorney, and certified Audited Accounts for at least 2 years.
The Technical Committee assesses your application and allocates an appropriate membership class based on your annual contract value.
A confirmation of your class is sent to you with an invoice for subscription fees.
Pay the Membership Subscription.
Your Membership Certificate is issued within two weeks after cheque maturity.
Note: You should be seconded by an already certified member of UNABSEC or submit a recommendation letter from a client.
